Our Tree

We put our tree up last weekend.  I know.  Very early.  But that's how I roll.  Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure:

Here's Miss "I'm Almost 7" holding her very first Christmas Bauble....

And here she is again...putting the decoration on the tree...

This beautiful decoration was given to me by one of my lovely Year One students, way back in 2000.
I've put it on my tree every year since and it's a lovely reminder of her beautiful, happy smiling face.
She graduated from Year 12 last week and we still keep in touch.
I really do miss being in the classroom....

And look!  Here's B.
He made a brief appearance for the tree decorating,
before burying his head back into a book
(Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Cabin Fever...it's what all the cool kids are reading.  Apparently.)

And here's B with his first Christmas Bauble....

Tomorrow I'm going to put the rest of the decorations up around the house.
How about you?  Is your tree up or does Christmas do your head in?

  1. Thats lovely...very pretty!
Our Christmas tree isn't up as yet. I always like to put it up on Dec 1st

However I am trying to figure out how to put it up without my 1yr old daughter getting to it....might need a barricade in front of it which wouldn't look very nice!

  2. Contemplating our tree erection now that it's out of the attic. The monster does take a few hours though... Why did I want such a big one? Does size really matter!!

  3. Tanya, when my two were little I just left the bottom, reachable part of the tree bare. Not very exciting to look at, but very practical!
And Lis, size always matters. The bigger the better...especially when it comes to trees :)
