These rissoles are so easy to make, taste delicious and will totally make you feel like you're in the movie The Castle (Aussie peeps will get that bit...overseas readers, probably not so much)
Here's what you'll need to make your own at home:
500g extra lean mince
1/2 diced onion
1 grated carrot
1 good squirt of Gourmet Garden's Chunky Garlic
1 egg
Mix everything together with your hygienically washed hands to form 6 rissoles....
cook in your frypan for about 4 minutes on one side....
and then turn them over. Cook for another 4-5 minutes (if you like them cooked all the way through) If your frypan has a lid, whack that on while the rissoles are cooking to stop them from drying out.
Serve the rissoles with mashed spud, veggies and gravy.
Or however each member of your family prefers them...I have a family of fussy mcfusspots, so there's some with gravy, some without. Some with carrots, some without. Some nights I totes feel like a short order cook....
but with slightly better dress sense than the chick from The Castle.
How about you? Do you like to cook like it's 1972? Tell me everything...

We cook rissoles in this house too. I pretty much do the same as you except we had zucchini as well for a bit of sweetness. Some times if im feeling really fancy Ill add some tomato relish. Delish... Think Ive just worked out what we are having for dinner tonight. Thanks, Darl ;0)your totes amazing
ReplyDeleteDarl! I'm loving the zucchini and relish tip. Will totes try that next time :)
DeleteWe had it for tea last night but held off on the onion because I figured the relish had enough. T'was amazing! :0) let me know what you think when you have it x
