GoMA, South Bank

Yesterday the kids and I headed into South Bank.

A beautiful part of the world, right here in Brisbane, Australia.  There's lots to see and do there, but this visit had a purpose.  Bailey was booked into a cartoon workshop at the State Library (thanks to my lovely friend J for organising it) so after we dropped him off there, Sophie and I wandered around GoMA (Gallery of Modern Art) for a couple of hours.  Here's what we saw...

This is the Obliteration Room.
It was white.  And now look at it.
  Amazing!!

When you enter the room, you are given a sheet of stickers.
Those stickers can be put anywhere you like!
Sophie loved it....

And this exhibit was just beautiful.
Everything's made using icing sugar....

And when you've looked at everything,
you get to sit at a iMac and make your own icing sugar creation.
And then email it to yourself.
So you can keep it forever.
Brilliant.

It was a great day out!
If you live in Brisbane, I'd highly recommend you go see it...
especially if you have kids.
They'll love it.  Promise.

Oh and Bailey (aged 10) loved the cartoon workshop.
Two hours of cartoon/caricature tips and tricks from a professional cartoonist =
$28 well spent!
