This week started off on what can only be described as a Low Point.
Look....
Yes, I actually sorted out the linen cupboard.
Yes, I separated the sheet sets.
Yes, I put them in their own boxes
And yes, I labelled those boxes.
Like I said, it was a Low Point.
But by Tuesday, things were improving at a rapid rate...
I fell in love with my new Parlux.
So much so, that I ordered my mum one too, and it arrived two days later.
On Wednesday, I did a bit of hardcore Project Life-ing...
And on Thursday, things really stepped up a notch.
I started the day off with a bit of retail therapy at Witchery...
I picked up that gorgeous clutch (it was half price)
and this beautiful scarf (25% off, people)
Then I went to a fabulous High Tea/Fashion Parade with my mum...
(that's her, in the stripes, hiding behind the amazing petit fours)
The event was held at The Emporium,
which just so happens to be my all time favourite Brisbane hotel.
If you haven't stayed there before, you really need to.
It's one fancy pants hotel with incredible staff, amazing rooms
and a fabulous cocktail & tapas menu at the bar.
The Fashion Parade featured George Gross
and Harry Watt's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection
which can only be described as breathtaking.
We saw beautiful pieces like these:
(all while sipping on champagne
and nibbling on a beautiful selection of ribbon sandwiches and petit fours)
I took some pics on the good old iPhone, but they turned out terribly. See....
After the fashion parade,
we ducked next door to Jean Brown and I found these little lovelies.
On sale = SOLD!
I think we'll be very happy together.
Today, Friday, I hit the gym (like I do every. damn. day)
packed for my little getaway next week...
None of that is mine.
It's purchases I've made for my totes cool cousin, D.
Yes, she has also inherited the shopaholic gene
but lives in a city that offers what can only be described as
second rate shopping conditions.
So I shop for her.
And fill up my suitcase with her goodies.
And then wonder how the hell I'm going to actually fit any of my clothes in there.
And got just a little bit excited about the concert I'm going to tomorrow night.
1987, here I come!
Anyone got a spare scrunchie and/or rara skirt I can borrow?
xox
This is a great post Kirsten- love it!
