Little Suzy Homemaker: Choc Chip Cookies

Call me Old Fashioned but I'm not a fan of the word 'cookie'.  I prefer biscuit.  Because despite my youthful looks, I'm actually 102 years old.

Anyho, my kids are totes into the word 'cookie', thanks mainly to far too many hours spent watching good quality US tv shows like iCarly and Big Time Rush.

So when I was whipping up these babies earlier today, Sophie rushed downstairs and announced "Oh I love your cookies.  Can I help you make them?" Which may or may not actually mean, "OMG I love sugar" and "Can I lick the hell out of the bowl when you're done mixing everything together?"

Ingredients:
225g butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 choc chips
(I used white today, but milk or dark choc will also work beautifully)

Method:
Preheat the oven to 190 deg C.
Cream butter & sugar together.
Beat in condensed milk and cream until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Throw in the flour and baking powder (sifting is totes overrated)
Stir the mixture together and add the choc chips.
Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls, tasting the mixture as you go.
You know, just to make sure it's not off or anything.
Place balls on a lined oven tray and press biscuits down with a fork.
Bake for about 15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Give the bowl to your helper to lick the hell out of....

Try your hardest to wait until the biscuits are cooled before you stuff one in your mouth and burn your tongue.  If this should happen, a cold milk chaser helps.  Or so I've heard.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend peeps.
See you next week with more enthralling K&Co. action
