Today's recipe is brought to you by my Nanna. She was a woman who definitely showed her love for those around her through baking. She wasn't really into hugging and telling you she loved you, but she could whip up baked goods like nobody's business and in doing so, taught me that baking for other people shows them love, gratitude and thoughtfulness. Who knew food could be so powerful?
So next time you want to show someone they are loved, do a bit of baking. You might just be surprised and how happy they are to receive it (just don't have your frypan set too high, or you'll burn your pikelets to a crisp. Or so I've heard.)
