comfort food

I don't know about you, but I've never really cooked with rhubarb before.  I bought a bunch of it earlier this week and had no idea what to do with it.  So I googled recipes and up popped this one.  

I tweaked it a bit (less sugar, more butter.  less apples, more juice), threw all the ingredients together and BAM! Before I knew it, I had a delicious Apple & Rhubarb Crumble baking in the oven.  Perfect for the cold winter nights we've been having of late, here in Australia.  Enjoy...

  1. How great is rhubarb! I too am a recent convert. I stew it up with apple and strawberry. We have it on hot porridge in the morning! Baby loves it too. You can also stew a heap and pop it in the freezer for coming months to mix through cakes etc. Im loving it!!

    1. Great idea re: freezing it! And I'm loving the idea of putting it on porridge in the morning. Will be giving that a go asap!!
