the friday five

#1  Lady Lamington  It's an awesome place right in the heart of Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.  If you haven't been already, you've gotta get yourself there ASAP.  Cos nothing beats a kid free champagne fuelled brunch to celebrate 15 happy years together.  Nothing.

#2  Tiffany & Co at Queens Plaza  Cos nothing beats being told you can go in and pick whatever you want**.  Nothing.
**from the budget conscious silver section.  Not the blind your eyes with bling section.  He's not *that* silly!

#3  Mumm Champagne.  Look I'm not going to lie, at 50 bucks a bottle it's one exie drop but consider it your insurance policy for the next day.  Cos nothing beats downing a bottle of the good stuff and not getting a hangover.  Nothing.

#4  Belle Epoque at The Emporium Hotel  Cos nothing beats fancy pastries at Brisbane's best hotel.  Nothing.  Unless of course you're staying at the hotel too.  Which sadly for us, this time around, we're not.

#5  Family.  Cos even though this is one dreadfully materialistic Friday Five that's making me feel very uncomfortable, nothing, I repeat nothing, beats being blessed with an incredible family.  They're what makes my world go round and are the only 'thing' in my life that ever matters.  I have no doubt it's the same for you too xox

  1. Get out! I was married in 1997 as well AND my bridesmaids wore gold and black. Super chic!

    1. It was *the* look back then wasn't it?! I really wanted my bridesmaids to wear the gold skirt with a cream fitted top tucked into it, but we couldn't find any suitable tops so went with head to toe gold instead (including shoes!!) It was alot of gold for one person to wear!! PS: Loving that your bridesmaids wore gold and black. That would've been very cutting edge in 1997. I bet it looked gorgeous x
