Kicked off the first day of the school holidays by dropping a lazy $8,000 at the orthodontist. Because overseas holidays are so overrated. Spending your hard earned on straight teeth is totally where it's at.
Whipped up an Olive Oil Cake which was completely and utterly delicious.
Went for a walk to feed the local ducks...
who were not at all gentle, but freaky, evil, greedy ducks that flew wildly around us, trying to grab the bread out of our hands. I may or may not have ran to the end of the bridge to escape their violent bread eating, while Sophie stood her ground and shooed the naughty ducks away.
We left the ducks to their bread and continued with our walk. Where we were greeted with this beautiful view, complete with pelicans bobbing around in the water. Every time I hit this part of my (almost) daily walk, I feel so grateful to be living in such a beautiful part of the world.
Spent Thursday and Friday in town where I was forced to endure chest tightening shop fronts such as this one:
I know. I can't believe there's a whole shop full of them either. Not to mention, people actually shopping there.
But don't worry, I recovered from the shock of it all by enjoying a very civilised coffee break...
before heading out with Scott for dinner. And yes, I totally took a selfie in the hotel bathroom. Because massive, pageant style hair dos deserve a photo...
Linking up with Janet from Redland City Living. Thanks for hosting it Janet x

LOL I always tell Miss 16 to wear her braces with pride, they're a VERY expensive piece of jewellery - worth more than my engagement, wedding and eternity rings put together!
ReplyDeleteFab hair - just love it :-)
Have you ever been to the Crocs shop in Cleveland? Some of the shoes are so un-croc-like ... I've been thinking of doing a post along the lines of "I can't believe they're crocs!"
Can't say I have ever been into the Crocs shop at Cleveland. Or any croc shop for that matter. I live by the motto that crocs are really only allowed if a) you're under the age of 5 or b) you live on an isolated farm where you don't run the risk of burning anyone's retinas with your plastic footwear ;)
DeleteThat do isn't massive. You look absolutely gorgeous Kirsten. I can't believe anyone would want to wear those hideous things on their feet either.
ReplyDeleteAnne xx
It felt massive Anne...although it had dropped quite a bit in that photo. I'm hearing you re: the crocs. I just don't understand the concept of plastic shoes, especially in balmy Queensland?!
DeleteAwesome blog as usual. Makes me laugh every time. Crocs should be banned for sure, who was the clever dick that came up with that stupid idea. Look forward to next weeks edition.
ReplyDeleteShannan your comment has made my day!!! And you're so right about Crocs...although the clever dick that invented them is now laughing all the way to the bank...which is a cruel twist of fate for all of us ;)
