Kicked off the weekend with a small celebration at my parents house to celebrate Scott's upcoming 40th birthday. We had to celebrate early because my parents insist on escaping the Australian winter ever year by heading off to some exotic location for a solid 6-8 weeks and won't be here when it's actually Scott's birthday. I know. I want to hurry up and be 60 something, so I can jet off overseas at the drop of a hat too.
But back to the celebrating. Mum did a great job with decorating...
And even organised a Mont Blanc themed birthday cake for Scott...
As I was taking the photos, Mum said to me "I hope you're not going to put any up of me on Tweet or whatever it's called." Um, no, don't worry Mum. Fairly sure I won't be putting any photos up on Tweet. Mainly because Tweet's not actually a thing. Old people. They're so cute.
Spent Sunday celebrating yet another 40th. This time it was a dear friend of mine who I've known since I was 15. She was one of my first friends at my new school. (I was fresh of the boat from NZ, had a thick kiwi accent, wore pale pink glasses and was a total newbie at an all girls school. So yeah, I guess you could say I was fairly grateful when Dallas struck up conversation and invited me to sit beside her in Miss Just's English class).
lovely place settings
delicious food
cute as could be cupcakes to take home
Finished the weekend off slothing on the couch, thinking that a) I could probably do with participating in some sort of hardcore sugar free detox program and b) true friendship really can last forever xox
That is cute. My Mum used to call my blog a 'bog', so instead of being a bugger I was a bogger! LOL You sure your Mum and Dad don't need someone to do their washing or fetch things for them? I'm not really doing anything for the next 6-8 weeks. LOL

Laughing at the 'bogger' and the offer to do my parents washing etc. Trust me, I've tried to tag along on their trips but for some strange reason they prefer to be kid and grandkid free??!!
DeleteSo true on the true friendship lasts forever, I fully agree xxx
