Today Miss Almost 7 and I put this together:
I bought the kit from Coles (Aussie Supermarket) for $12
It came with everything needed to put the house together...including super thick icing and a tray
(which made sticking it together really easy)
It really was very easy to do,
although the hot weather did make the icing a bit slippery
and our roof slid off a few times!
But I managed to secure it with more icing
and some time in the fridge...
I'm not sure how it would go putting it altogether in the hot Aussie Summer though.
Great fun and a bargin at 12 bucks.

PS: This is not a sponsored post...
Coles didn't pay me a cent to praise their fabulous Gingerbread House Kit...
but if they'd like to in the future, well, I'm ok with that.

Looks terrific! I bought the Ikea kit one but you had to supply lollies and make the icing. I make it each year for Halloween as we call it Hansel and Gretels's house! Love yours!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! This looks like a fun Christmas project to do with my nephews. Though they may prefer a lego house haha
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of making one for Halloween! Great idea.
ReplyDeleteAnd Hair Romance, your nephews would probably love this little project...it's waaay easier than putting together Lego ;)
That does look like fun! But most of all it looks delicious!! I could eat that all by myself right about now!! :) Hazel
ReplyDeleteI love the Gingerbread house! My kids made one a few years ago and have been pestering to make another one every christmas since.

Hazel, it was very tasty! (I only tried it to make sure it was ok for the kids to eat. Of course)
ReplyDeleteJodie, it was really fun to make. We might even whip up another one between now and Christmas!!
