Today I thought I'd show you how you can create your very own cupcake bar at home. I threw this one together last year, when Sophie had a friend over for morning tea. I know it looks a bit OTT, but I promise that it's really easy to put together...
Firstly, make your cupcakes. They can be made the day before or even the month before (and then frozen). Making your baked goods before the day of any get together is a major timesaver. Once the baking is done, setting up the DIY Cupcake Bar is as easy as:
1. putting your toppings into cute bowls
2. arranging the un-iced cupcakes on platters
3. displaying your toppings, cupcakes etc I'm a big fan of symmetry when it comes to putting together party tables. It always makes everything look far more professional than it actually is.
4. letting the kids go nuts with the toppings!
And that's it! Told you it was easy :)

How brilliant is this?! Perfect for a kids party and I bet that they love the DIY concept too.

DeleteImpressive K & Co! How good are your IT skills getting?! What package did you say you are using for the new look?
ReplyDeleteHey Nikki! I'm using 'keynote' It's a mac software package, kind of like publisher. Except cooler. The lovely Ashley, from One Fine Day put me onto it (her blog link is on my sidebar, if you want to check out her awesome keynote skills) It's really easy to use and makes things look totes professional ;)
DeleteOh, I'm such a Mac wannabe. Maybe next year. :(
