I know you'll find this hard to believe, but most of my family and friends have no idea about this blog. Or the K&Co facebook page. Or anything else that is even remotely related to this blog.
Although they do know that next week I'll be heading to the Blog Off/Cook Off at the Brisbane Good Food & Wine Show, because I'm just a little bit excited/nervous/beside myself about that one and have pretty much been telling anyone who will listen about it. But that exciting event aside, I don't really mention this blog to many people at all.
Although lately, more and more people I actually know in real life are discovering this little blog and some of them are even starting to whip up the meals that I've featured. Which, just quietly, is really kind of lovely.
Last night one of my dearest friends, Mel, was furiously texting me photos of the meal she made for her mum's birthday, which came straight from this blog. And I could not have been prouder. Just look at what she whipped up...
Slow Cooked Cashew Chicken with Banana Cake for dessert.
Awesome effort Mel! And Happy Birthday to your lovely mum. In other news, these photos have really made me think about things. Important things like Is anyone else out there making meals or baking using recipes from this blog? And how did you find this blog? And why do you read it? And do you know me and pretend you don't read this blog, when in actual fact you do? Or maybe you don't know me at all?
See. My mind is spinning. So much so, that I think I need a cup of tea and a lie down. Or maybe I need to go shopping? Yep, I think that would totally solve the problem. Either way, I would LOVE to read your responses to my hard hitting questions....
I love your baked eggs!!
ReplyDeleteAnn, you have made my day!
DeleteI found you through one of the other lovely blog ladies but I can't exactly remember which one now. Maybe Clare @ The Home She Made. I love your blog because I am always keen for new recipes and family friendly meal ideas. You also make me smile and laugh on a regular basis with your blog posts. I love the Friday Five just FYI, there is always something in there that makes me smile and who doesn't love Fridays :)
ReplyDeleteMindy, your words are just so lovely. Sometimes I wonder if anyone finds my posts funny, so it's nice to hear you do! And thanks for reminding me that I need to whack out another Friday Five before Friday actually gets here!!
DeleteJust the other day I met someone who knew my old blog - it was kinda cool - she loved it!!! You never know who stalks your blog...
ReplyDeleteSo true Jane!
DeleteWhere is my comment I left yesterday? Weird. Anyway, I said that you know I find you funny and I've tried a few of your recipes. The slow-cooked cashew nut chicken was DELISH (no drying out!). Blog comments are good for the soul, aren't they?! xxx
ReplyDeleteBlogger must've been throwing a bit of a tanty yesterday and your comment above is the only one I've received from you. So pleased that you liked the Cashew Chicken. It's one tasty meal, isn't it?! And yes, blog comments make my heart sing...so thank you for the lovely ones you always leave xx
