So today the kids went back to school, after having two weeks holidays. I don't know about you, but I was literally counting down the hours yesterday until I could fling the kids out of the door at the school drop off zone this morning lovingly walk my two little cherubs to their classrooms this morning.
Don't get me wrong, I love my kids like nothing else on this earth, I really enjoy their company and I actually miss them when they head back through those school gates for another term but let's face it, I also miss shopping, coffee with girlfriends and long walks along the waterfront in silence. Yes, my kids love a hardcore chat. And they can talk all.day.long. Which may or may not do my head in after two solid weeks of it.
Anyho, yesterday, while all the other kids in Brisbane were doing exciting things like heading to Dreamworld or swimming at Southbank, we spent the day in the kitchen whipping up some tasty treats for the school lunch boxes. Because I am so on track to win Mother of The Year it's not even funny. So here we go with the first thing we made...
In other news, Scott's away. Again. I know. And I'm fairly sure that you're thinking what I'm thinking...
A) I'm stuck at home, while he's jetting off to exotic places like Woollongong. Or Albury Wodonga. Which aren't exactly exotic places, but still. He totally gets to sit in the fancy lounge place and sip on whatever it is they serve in there before jumping on a plane to do nothing but read magazines and listen to music for a solid couple of hours. Sounds like a dream come true, if you ask me.
And B) I don't know how the hell single mums do it on their own 24/7. You're all amazing. That is all. K&Co. over & out xox
Showed my husband the picture of the scrolls which he thought looked pretty good...then told him I too could make these (with a Kitchen Aid!). Enjoy the first week back. Kate
