the friday five

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but when I first met Scott he was what can only be described as A Hardcore Bogan. Yes, he had a mullet hair cut, wore cheap plastic XXXX sunglasses that he received as, and I use the following term loosely, a Gift With Purchase when he bought two or more cartons of XXXX beer and used to play air drums on the steering wheel of his car whenever he pressed play on his Bon Jovi mixed tape.  Which, let me tell you, was far too often than was socially acceptable.

Not Scott.  But totally could be.

Fast forward 18 years and he's all about short haircuts, Mont Blanc sunglasses and bluetooth connectivity.  Thank. God.

This is Scott.  Mullet-less and sitting at his favourite French Patisserie.  As you do.

Anyho, the reason for this background information is that last night I was having a mild panic attack as I hadn't knocked out a Friday Five post for this blog.  Partly because I couldn't think of anything that a) is giving me the irrits or b) that I'm loving sick right now, but mainly because I just couldn't be bothered.

When I raised this pressing issue with Scott his answer was this, "Um, have you heard of the 80's?  And how good the music was back then?  You totally need to do a Top Five 80's Songs" which was followed by a long winded, very one sided conversation about the top five 80's songs of all time. Which, just quietly, I kind of tuned out of once the words 'White Snake' were uttered.

I have no words.

So, long story short, next week Scott's going to be a guest of this blog.  And he'll be presenting his Top Five 80's tunes.  I know.  I can hardly wait either.  K&Co. over & out xox
