the friday five

So I know you're all waiting with baited breath for Scott's post this week.  Which is something we both have in common, as I'm still waiting for it too.  He was given a strict deadline of noon on Wednesday to submit his Top 5 Bogan 80's Songs, which he missed.  A text may or may not have been sent at approximately 12.02pm asking the whereabouts of said post to which an extension may have been requested.  And reluctantly granted.  Which was then missed.  Again.  I know.  I'm just as over this kind of unreliable behaviour as you are.

Not Scott, but honestly, the resemblance uncanny.

I did remind him tonight that I have Lovely Readers who rely on my weekly Friday Five posts to get them through their day (have I mentioned before that I never let the facts get in the way of a good story and that I'm somewhat inclined to exaggerate?) to which the reply might have been nothing but a good old fashioned eye roll.  I know.  So rude.  But to be fair, the poor guy was away on business earlier this week and has worked 13 hour days since, well, forever, so I guess we I should cut him some slack.

That right there is what can only be described as Hard Core Hair.  I mean, can you even begin to imagine how much their perm bill was back in the day?

So Lovely Readers, today I'm turning this post over to you.  Comment away with your favourite 80's tunes and together we'll compile our own Top 5 80's Songs. Scott, feel free to join in.  And Ann, I can't wait to read what you come up with!  K&Co over & out xox

PS:  Comments might take a while to appear today, as I'm heading into the Brisbane Good Food and Wine Show to participate in the Blog Off/Cook Off competition (Eeeek!!) and won't be able to moderate anything for a few hours.  Stay tuned over on Facebook and/or instagram for pics and updates!

  1. Excellent work Scott, hard work is no excuse to not have a post ready. Working 13 hours a day still leaves 11 to do a post!!!

  2. I love Living on a Prayer! I even belt it out at the top of my lungs when no one is around.

  3. Was trying to come up with my 80's song list, when I noticed this comment's label - "wives who have husbands who read their blogs". I nearly fell out of bed laughing. I wish I had another super secret blog where I could write about nasty stuff, and never let him know about. If you don't mind my borrowing this label, I might - and give you credit of course. Although I very seldom use labels on my blog. If you do mind, I completely understand.
