what's for dinner?

So here we go with another week of meals.  But before we do, I'd just like to say a huge Thank You  to everyone who showed so much love and support on this blog and facebook page in the lead up to last Friday's Blog Off/Cook Off.  I was blown away by your lovely words and hardcore encouragement both before and after the event and can't thank you enough for cheering me on from the online sidelines!

For those interested, I whipped up my Thai Chicken Lettuce Cups, which were slammed by the judge.  Slammed I tell you.  She did not like them one little bit and made it very clear that I should've used more herbs, browned the chicken further & put something crunchy on top.  Although she was kind enough to say that it was a great family friendly recipe.  So I guess that's something.  Especially considering that, well, you know, that's kind of my target audience 7 nights a week.  So big congrats to fellow blogger, Anne.  Her Zucchini Fritters looked amazing and won hands down.  It was a great experience being able to cook alongside another blogger up there on The Chopping Block and one that I'll never forget.

Have a great week everyone!  If you're interested, tomorrow there will be a tutorial on how to whip up your own advent calendar using nothing but paper bags and a printer. Which I have to say, is a sentence I never thought I'd ever type. But I just did.  Which is just a teeny tiny bit disturbing.

In other news, Tonya Todman rang and she'd like to catch up for a cuppa and raffia hat making workshop.  Book me in Ms Todman.  Book.Me.In. xox

    1. Nina, I feel strongly that there would need to be some Hardcore Champagne Drinking during this imaginary raffia hat making class. Which could be dangerous, especially when the hot glue guns are being used ;)
