Ok, so now we all know that I'm heading to Paris in 9 short weeks, let's kick of the first Friday Five for 2013 with a little bit of French Fashion inspiration.
Because we'll be doing a lot of walking/sightseeing during the day, I plan on living in my jeans and teaming them with various classic yet comfortable pieces: a trench coat, lightweight jumpers, long sleeved tshirts & flat brown boots or ballet flats. Here's some inspiration that I've found over on pinterest...
Which one's your fave? un, deux, trois, quatre or cinq? And how clever am I, counting in fancy french. Ha. I think I have a little bit more to learn until I'm able to actually hold a conversation with anyone remotely French, but at least I know the important things like how to order a croissant and ask where the toilets are x
I love them all!!
ReplyDeleteI do too Ann!
DeleteI think I like 'deux'. That's about the only words I know in French, how to count to five. Oh, and croissant, champagne, camembert, ballet, you know. LOL I did German for 4 years at high school so if you vont to know anysing in German, let me know. LOL
ReplyDeleteAnne xx (PS Oh and take an empty suitcase and just buy up big over there. LOL)
I'm with you on 'deux' It looks comfortable yet stylish, so it's totally win win. Loving your German skills btw and yes, I'm definitely taking an empty suitcase!!
DeleteDeux. (It's been a year since I've been there, but the jeans in the first set are a little worn for any but the youngest Parisian.) Throw two more tops and another scarf in your bag and you're good for a week. No one cares if you wear the same outfit everyday. By the bye, the cobblestone in Paris are not kind to high heels. I have never had any luck with French shoe inserts - Dr Scholl's are so much better that I bring them along just in case. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteBeryl, I'm loving your comment so much. Thank you for the excellent clothing advice. I hadn't even thought about the cobblestones!
