What do we all think of the blogs new look? Just quietly, it took me bloody ages to give it this little makeover. Partly because I'm quite indecisive about important things like font size and colour schemes but mainly because I have no effing idea what I'm actually doing when it comes to CSS, HTML or anything else remotely IT related.
The biggest change I've made is to the name of the blog. K&Co has been replaced with Kirsten and Co. While I was attempting to give the blog a fresh, clean, crisp new look, it kind of made sense to change the name to match the actual web address. Plus that font totally looks like my actual handwriting and I quite fancied having my own signature at the top of the blog.
I'd really like to get rid of the square social media buttons and replace them with some cute gold glittery ones, but I've got absolutely no idea how to do that, so for now the chunky square buttons remain.
So that was pretty much how my weekend was spent. Sitting in front of the computer, trying to work out how to get rid of clunky backgrounds and orange signatures. Which actually wasn't as boring as it sounds. How about you? What did you get up to this weekend? Anything exciting? Do tell.
Love it, very clever you are!! Tonia would be proud!!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I think Tonia would be prouder if the blog featured some sort of raffia based logo ;)
DeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya ... I have been working on my online portfolio, not fussed on the header so far but it's a work in progress ... you can sneak a peek at janetcamilleri dot com ...
I love tinkering around with this blog design thing...there's so much to learn but it's good fun! I'll head over to your blog now for a looksy :)
DeleteClever lady. I like it, very crisp and sassy. Plus i think its better to go with Kirsten&Co coz sometimes I google your blog when I'm not on my usual laptop (where I have bookmarks) and it comes up with a party supply company in America.
ReplyDeleteYes! I tried googling the blog on the weekend and that's what happened to me too. Kirsten & Co is a bit of a long winded name, but google seems to like it better and it's the blogs address, so it kind of made sense to change it.
DeleteLove the new design Kirsten.
