Last week I was a bit stuck for Friday Five ideas, so I put a call out on good old facebook asking if anyone had a suggestion. Rachel R, thanks so much for your idea of 'five summer fashions or trends' (and thanks also for being such a hardcore commenter on the facebook page...I really appreciate it & you comments always make me smile). Anyho, you've inspired me to belt out a blog post featuring five things I'm loving in the lead up to Spring. Not quite what you suggested, but almost. And if nothing else, I'm excellent at doing almost what people ask me to. Enjoy...
Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Resist Eye Cream // Ok, so before we go any further, I'll ask you to please ignore the awful name of this eye cream. I mean, really. Wrinkle resist? Come on, no woman over the age of 35 needs reminding they have wrinkles that need resisting. But seriously, this is the best eye cream I've ever used. And trust me, I've used my fair of eye creams over the years. It's quite thick, really smooth and leaves your delicate eye area feeling very refreshed. At AU$77 a pop it's not cheap, but a little goes a long way, so it should last a while before it needs replacing.
Kate Spade Bow Bracelet // So here's a fun fact. I've got teeny tiny wrists but mega large knuckles. Which means getting any sort of bangle over my giant sized hands is somewhat of a challenge. Until now. This cute as could be Kate Spade Bow Bracelet has a magnetic snap and clasp closure thingy, which makes it very easy to get on and off. Not that I'd actually know because so far I've only lusted after it online. I'm yet to actually purchase one, but it's definitely on my "Husband is heading to the states to work, leaving me behind to look after the kids, so he must purchase me something cute to make up for it" list. And yes, that list totally is a thing.
Body Shop Hemp Hand Oil // This stuff is the business if, like me, you have hardcore dry hands & cuticles. I purchased some last week, have been using it a couple of times a day and BAM! dry hands are a thing of the past. You're welcome.
Benefit They're Real Mascara // This mascara will change your life. Not even kidding. It has some sort of magical properties that transforms your eyelashes into large, eye popping lashes that will make friends ask what mascara you use. At the moment Benefit is running some sort of mascara swap arrangement which involves taking your old mascara to your local Benefit counter in exchange for a brand new They're Real mascara. Run, don't walk, people.
Sussan Spring/Summer Blazer // I'm a huge fan of a jacket/blazer. They're great for covering up flabby arms, bloated tummies and large bust lines. Or so I've heard. Ha. Anyho, this one by Sussan has been added to my Spring/Summer wardrobe wants. It comes in 4 different colours but the pale aqua would have to be my fave. Perfect for the warmer months ahead, especially when you want to look smart but not totally overdone & need a bit of layering action.
Please note, this is not a sponsored post. Sadly I don't have the stats for that. But if I did, I'd totally do a giveaway and share the goodies. So if the people from Shiseido, Kate Spade, Body Shop, Benefit or Sussan ever get in touch with me (ha! Talk about Wishful Thinking), you'll be the first to know x
