the friday five

So here's a Fun Fact about me, which may or may not shock you, but I'm what can only be described as a Hardcore Survey Nerd.  Yep, I love taking part in an old fashioned survey.  Over the phone, via email, at the shops, it doesn't really matter where...if there's a survey that needs to be completed, I'm your girl.  I know.  It's a bit sad, but everyone needs a hobby.  Participating in surveys happens to be one of mine.
So you can imagine my delight when Virgin Australia emailed me earlier this week asking if I wouldn't mind participating in their quick online survey.  Um, no, I would not mind one bit.  After all, Virgin Australia is my preferred mode of transport (apart from my car, obviously.)
Why yes, I did take photos of the meals on my last trip.  I mean, a girl only gets to travel Business Class 35-40 times in her life right? (haha.  Scott will be getting chest pains at the mere thought of that number.)

The questions were a bit random (where would you like to holiday, what would you do when you got there, describe your ideal meal) which of course I answered diligently.  But then I came to the question "name four famous people you would like to have dinner with" and thought I'd share with you my answers.  So here we go with this week's Friday Five.  Enjoy...

1  //  Sir Richard Branson.  Not sucking up here, would genuinely like to meet him.

2  //  Oprah.  Because no doubt her and Sir Richard know each other, so that would break the ice for everyone.  That and I'm assuming she'd bring some sort of superior Hostess Gift that may or may not involve a new car/overseas holiday/high end anything.

3  //  Kate Middleton.  Because I'm a Hardcore Royalist and really good with babies.

4  //  My Husband.  I know he's not famous, but he thinks of himself as a bit of legend, which I'm fairly sure counts.

5  //  There is no Five because the good people at Virgin Australia only wanted Four (and yes, the answers above are what I actually wrote on the survey.  Even though they didn't actually ask for an explanation.  Yes, I'm nothing if not thorough.)  So here's where you come in.  Who would YOU invite as Number 5 to complete the dinner party?  Please note, Miley Cyrus and her tongue may not be submitted as suggestions.  Brad, George and the hot guy from Magic Mike will most definitely be considered.  Over to you....

  1. I'm in the Oprah cult. I used to schedule my days around watching her. I miss her daily appearances, but am enjoying the behind the scenes of the Oprah show on 128 (do you have Foxtel?).
I also would shortlist Richard Branson for a dinner. Loved his autobiography, 'losing my virginity'.
Please tell me that virgin includes a meal in business class, and you don't have to pay for it like in cattle class.
As for surveys, I'm not a fan- but having completed my honours and masters where I've been heavily dependent on surveys, you are a godsend.
    Have a great weekend!

    1. I miss Oprah too. Love her behind the scenes show also. And yes, you most definitely get meals in BC on Virgin. Three course meals, served on actual plates with gorgeous salt and pepper shakers in the shape of the Opera House. It's a little bit amazing x

I used to like doing the 'tick the box' type of surveys but not anymore - they all seem to be pages and pages long and now I get bored !!!!
    Have a great day !

    1. I agree Ann, the royals couldn't be split. Jon Bon Jovi is an excellent choice. Hope he brings his guitar and belts out some acoustic songs for us x
